Accuracy and accountability

Corrections Policy

If a factual claim, calculation, source, package description, or report output is wrong, we want to investigate it quickly and leave the corrected version clear.

Report an error

Email reports@solarquotecheckup.com with the page URL or private report link, the statement you believe is wrong, and the primary source or proposal field that supports the correction. Do not email card details or unnecessary sensitive data.

What happens next

  1. We preserve the original inputs and reproduce the calculation or claim.
  2. We compare it with the cited source and its effective date.
  3. We correct confirmed errors and update the visible verification date.
  4. For a material public correction, we add a note explaining what changed.
  5. For a report-processing error, we regenerate the report or apply the refund terms.

Corrections are not outcome guarantees

A later utility decision, tax-law change, revised proposal, or new dataset is an update rather than proof that the earlier source was misquoted. Estimates can also differ from real-world performance without containing a calculation error. We still update time-sensitive pages when their underlying sources change.
