Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Solar Quote Checker website and quote-review service (the “Service”), operated by Solar Quote Checker (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service or purchasing a report, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service is

You upload a residential solar quote and may type optional electricity context. Electric-bill documents are not accepted or analyzed. We generate a report that reviews the quote’s pricing, production assumptions and limited retail-rate scenario, equipment and warranty details, potential red flags, and questions to ask your installer.

Not professional advice

This is an independent planning and quote-review service, not financial, legal, engineering, tax, or installation advice. Production may use NREL PVWatts, exact-address Google Solar, or a labeled fallback. The service does not forecast expected savings or payback; any retail-rate value/payback scenario is limited sensitivity arithmetic. Confirm contract details with licensed professionals and current rules with official sources before signing.

The report is an informational and planning tool only. All scores, benchmarks, production figures, and retail-rate value/payback scenarios are planning screens generated from the information you provide and third-party data. The service does not forecast expected savings or payback, and its scenarios omit material tariff and project factors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or outcomes of any report, and nothing in a report is a recommendation to enter into or decline any contract. Decisions about your solar purchase are yours alone; always confirm details with licensed professionals before signing.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and to upload only documents that you have the right to submit.

Payment

We offer report packages at the prices shown on the Service (currently Basic $149 and Pro $249, in U.S. dollars). You can review a free summary of findings before you decide to purchase the full report. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Prices may change, but changes will not affect a purchase already completed.

Refunds

Because a report is a digital product generated on demand, purchases are generally final once your full report has been generated and made available. If your report fails to generate, is not delivered, or contains a clear processing error on our part, contact us at reports@solarquotecheckup.com and we will regenerate it or issue a refund. This refund policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Fulfilment and support

Report generation begins only after Stripe confirms a successful payment for the report package connected to your submission. We make the completed report available through the private report link and send it to the email address you supplied. Processing time can vary with document quality and third-party availability. If delivery fails or the report remains incomplete, contact reports@solarquotecheckup.com so we can investigate, regenerate the report, or apply the refund policy above.

Acceptable use

• Upload only your own quotes, or quotes you are authorized to submit.
• Do not upload unlawful content, malware, or documents that infringe someone else’s rights.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Do not resell or redistribute reports as your own product.

Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the documents and information you upload. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. The report we deliver is for your personal use; the Service itself, including its software, scoring methodology, and design, remains our property.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service and all reports are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate will prove accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solar Quote Checker and its owners and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost savings, profits, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any report. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the report giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Solar Quote Checkerharmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. We may suspend or terminate access to anyone who violates these Terms.

Governing law

Applicable consumer-protection and mandatory local laws continue to apply. No additional governing-law jurisdiction is claimed on this page.
