Fixed-rate payment calculator

Solar loan calculator: see more than the monthly payment

Use the APR, term, amount financed, and separate cash price from a written offer. The calculator shows scheduled payment cost without guessing whether any price difference is a dealer fee.

See the payment and total scheduled cost

The starting numbers are an arithmetic example, not a rate quote or market-rate claim. Replace them with the written terms from your offer.

Estimated monthly payment
$211.84300 scheduled payments
Total of scheduled payments
$63,552.73
Interest across the schedule
$33,552.73
Amount financed minus cash price
$3,000.00
Do not label the price difference a dealer fee. It may include financing costs, equipment, discounts, or other contract differences. Ask the installer and lender to itemize it. Confirm the disclosed APR, finance charge, payment schedule, and total of payments against your contract.

Fixed-rate amortization estimate only. It assumes every scheduled payment is made on time and does not model prepayment, late fees, taxes, insurance, balloon payments, re-amortization, or terms not included above. Values stay in your browser.

The four loan numbers that answer different questions

Amount financed

The principal balance used by this calculator. Confirm what contract charges are included.

APR

A standardized annual measure of credit cost. It is not the same field as a simple interest rate.

Finance charge

The disclosed dollar cost of consumer credit for covered transactions; compare it with the calculator's interest estimate.

Total of payments

What scheduled payments add up to if the loan runs as written. Check the lender's disclosure.

Why the cash price belongs beside the financed amount

A loan offer and a cash offer can show different starting prices. Entering both reveals the arithmetic difference before interest. That difference is a prompt for an itemized explanation, not proof of a specific fee. Confirm that the equipment and project scope are identical before treating the numbers as comparable.

Then compare the disclosed finance charge and total of payments. The calculator's total assumes a conventional fixed payment with no changes. Your contract controls if it includes a balloon payment, prepayment, re-amortization, promotional term, or other feature.

Calculator questions

Does this estimate my tax savings?
No. It models only the loan terms entered. Incentive eligibility is separate and should not be assumed in a payment calculation.
Is the calculated payment a lending offer?
No. It is a fixed-rate math estimate. Compare it with the lender's disclosures and signed contract.
Why can the lender's total differ?
Timing, rounding, fees, payment structure, or other contract terms can change the result. Ask the lender to reconcile each field rather than relying on this estimate alone.
