This Privacy Policy explains how Fabricate, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Solar Quote Checker”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and quote-review service (the “Service”). The Service is intended for U.S. residents who are 18 or older.

Information you provide

To produce your report, we ask you to provide:

• Your name and email address.
• Your property ZIP code and, optionally, your street address and utility provider.
• Your uploaded solar quote or proposal, and (optionally) your electric bill, as a PDF or image file.
• Optional details you choose to enter: roof type and age, shading, monthly bill amount or usage, and whether financing or a battery is included.

Please do not upload documents containing information you do not want analyzed. If your solar quote or electric bill contains sensitive personal information, that information will be processed as described below.

Information collected automatically

We use the cookies and local browser storage necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep your place in the upload flow), plus a product analytics tool that helps us understand how the Service is used — which pages are visited and how far people get through the upload and report flow. That tool records the step reached, the report package selected, the number of issues found, the quote score, and standard technical details such as your browser type, approximate region, and referring page. It does not receive your uploaded documents, your name, your email address, your street address, or the written contents of your report, and we do not use it to build a profile of you by name. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

How we use your information

• To read your quote and generate your report.
• To estimate solar production, pricing benchmarks, and payback.
• To process your payment and deliver your report by email.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems, and to comply with law.

We use your data to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your uploaded documents for advertising.

Service providers we share data with

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to run the Service. They process your information only to perform services for us:

• Anthropic— reads your uploaded quote to extract its details and helps draft the written portions of your report. Your uploaded document and the extracted data are sent to Anthropic’s API for this purpose.
• Google (Maps & Solar APIs)— converts your address to coordinates and models your roof’s solar potential from aerial imagery.
• NREL (PVWatts) — estimates solar production for your location and system size.
• Stripe — processes your payment. Your card details are entered on Stripe and are never received or stored by us.
• Resend — delivers your report to your email address.
• PostHog — product analytics. It receives usage events (pages viewed, how far you get through the flow, the package selected, the number of issues found, and your quote score) along with standard technical details like browser type and approximate region. It does not receive your uploaded documents, your name, your email address, your street address, or the text of your report.

Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We keep your report and the information you provided so we can deliver it to you and provide support. You may ask us to delete your uploaded files, report, and personal information at any time by emailing [support@yourdomain.com]. We may retain limited records where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting [support@yourdomain.com]. Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold and to request its deletion. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security
